I AM THE DISCOVERER
OF THE GREAT UNKNOWN IN ME
I AM THE DISCOVERER
MY TRACKS ARE FRESH
I AM NEW EVERY DAY

To travel. To discover the world. For Nynke Laverman this permanent addiction began five years ago. Out of the cafés of Lisbon where she absorbed the fado, she developped her debut ‘Sielesâlt’. After that she went to Mexico and Cuba where she let the Latin pasión settle in her imagination, resulting in her show ‘De Maisfrou’. Southern cultures as musical breeding ground, sang in her native language, Frisian.

This time Nynke went to the east and lived for a month with a nomadic family on the steppes of Mongolia. With people whose life is one long journey through an immense vast landscape. This impressive culture with its values and traditions forms, combined with the experiences and emotions that the journey itself stirred up in her, the foundation of NOMADE.

ALSO IMPORTANT!

It was fascinating to stay in Mongolia and to be a part of the impressive nomadic culture in the country for a while. But I also heard about the problems in the cities. That there are many homeless children, who have to survive under extremely hard conditions. Because I have seen how completely futureless they are without help, I was happy to hear about Anna Home, a house that was build for streetkids in Choibalsan, with help of the Dutch foundation All for Children. This great initiative must be supported! For our western measures it doesn't cost much to provide a child in Mongolia with food, shelter and education.

That's the reason why I'd like to mention the existence of this project. You can read more about it on:

All the best!
