HAMBRE DEL ALMA - single (Own label: FAMA, 2007) 'Hambre del alma' (hunger of the soul) belongs to De Maisfrou, but was made later and therefore released on single. It's a groovy, extravert song and as for the style it goes from Mexican folklore to a Cuban montuno. The Frisian lyrics from Nynke are about feeling an immense desire for someone, in terms of wanting to eat and drink someone's body... tengo hambre, mi amor! Herefore she also makes use of a Spanish poem of Alfonsina Storni. The music was made by Ward Veenstra and developped furtherly together with Joël, Sytze and Nynke. The second track on this single is a version of the song 'Swarte ierde' as it is played live.
